"My favorite part of each session is capturing that stolen moment,
I knew I would become a photographer when I was a teenager. My mother handed me her Canon Rebel and from there I just adored every aspect of it. I have an amazing family and network of friends who showed me that to really love your life, you have to love what you do. Now almost 10 years later, I am a successful small business owner living my dream. It's hard work but it is so rewarding.
My favorite part of each session is capturing that stolen moment, where the true, raw love and emotion shines through. Its like a little gift that the clients give me unknowingly and has even made me tear up at times. Silly, I know! Thankfully, it makes my clients tear up as well, so I don't feel quite as silly.
My favorite part of my Boudoir session is actually the Reveal Appointment. This is where you see your images for the first time. My hope with every session is that you see how gorgeous you are, inside and out. As a woman who has struggled with body issues my whole life, it's really incredible working to make every woman feels as beautiful as she is. We are our own worst critic. No matter our size, shape, the color of our skin, we are all human beings and we all can find our flaws faster than I can say "Bless You".
I grew up in Raleigh, NC and I currently live in Bristow, Virginia with my husband and our little girl, Charlotte. Random info: her nickname is Bunny, she is obsessed with "lips" which means chapstick or any lip gloss mommy will allow, and dress up. She was also the cutest Captain America for Halloween this year (2017).
When Im not working on the business, chasing a toddler and cleaning up after 2 dogs and a husband, I usually find myself reading. I LOVE to read and don't have as much time for it as I used to.
I am a hoarder of pretty much every card someone has given me, notes from my husband while he was deployed and jewelry. I currently collect neat little notebooks that have a pretty cover so I can jot down client notes, my to-do list and let my daughter doodle in them. I've learned that I love walking! I am really excited to explore who I am now that I am a mother, a wife, a business owner. Its funny how the core of us does not change but some aspects do. It is like I am constantly on an adventure through life and you never know will happen along the way!
I am an equal opportunity photographer. I will not turn down a client because of sexual preference. I will only turn down a client when it is a session that I know doesn't suit me artistically or if I do not feel comfortable. That rarely happens but I like to be fair and honest when doing business.
I look forward to having you join the Blush Angels family!
